Story Festival Week

This week, we are participating in a story festival week with other schools and will be celebrating our love for reading by sharing our favourite stories. In literacy, we wrote our own blurb for books that we enjoyed reading. The challenge was to create a short summary of the story that would grab the reader’s attention and make them want to read the book. Read the examples below to decide which one you are the most persuaded by.

The cat must learn to fight. Varjac Paw is a Mesopotamian blue kitten who is never allowed to leave the family home. One day, fierce black cats come to the home and fight which forces Grandpa Paw to break his own rules. As a result of this, Varjac leaves the family home but he must know the seven skills of Jalal to survive…..
