Dividing by 100

Over the last week, Amber class have been practising multiplying and dividing by 10 and 100. They have learnt key skills of how to manipulate digits to assist in their work, and today they have applied their understanding to a missing digit problem. They were only allowed to use each digit 1-9 once, and had to fill in all the blanks in the calculations.

They showed a wonderful attitude and desire in attempting these activities, with many people using their counters and place value charts to check their answers. These skills are so important to the multiplication skills they will require throughout this year.
