Visiting a Poet!

On Wednesday we travelled to Manor Library to meet a famous poet, Conrad Burdekin. The first thing we learnt during our trip was ‘spoonerisms’ which is when you muddle up letters in the words you are trying to say for example ‘Liss Mandsborough’ instead of ‘Miss Landsborough’. He then read us a poem called Superheroes, which we went on to learn with some actions and perform. We then as a group wrote a poem of our own called ‘If I was king’ which focused on all the things we would do if we were kings for the day. We had so much fun!IMG_3845IMG_3848IMG_3851IMG_3846
