This week Amber class went on a residential trip to Castleton! We travelled by coach and mini bus! We have had a brilliant time!!!
We stayed in a beautiful, big and modern youth hostel. We had lots of scrumptious, delicious breakfasts including a full English!
We went into Speedwell Cavern and Peak Cavern. Paige’s favourite was Peak and Leah’s favourite was Speedwell, it was her first time on a boat.
Brioney loved the gem panning! Her favourite gem was the crystal.
Kaleb enjoyed our night time activities including Bingo with Miss Beckingham!
Fraya enjoyed the river study where Amber class got very wet! We investigated the speed, how deep it was, the width and temperature.
Ashton enjoyed Odin’s cave. We had a very funny walk to the cave. Lots of children fell over and got very muddy (sorry grown ups!)
Jack enjoyed the egg rocket challenge! We had to make a rocket out of bottles, bubble wrap, tissues and cardboard and send it into the sky and see if our egg survived! Brioney, Fraya and Aishah were in the Eggcellent Castleton team and THEY WON! Well done!
Raegan-lea enjoyed fossil making – we can’t wait to get them back.
We got to climb into a lead mine and explore in the darkness!
We loved it and would love to go back again!
